Dare To Say NO!

No! Consciously, you know you just turning down other people's requests, ‘other people’ may include your family, friends or co-workers. Are you ready and willing to take the risk of them being judgmental and you being labeled as selfish and then you have to fight your own guilty feeling ?
It is undeniable that most probably people tend to say yes instead of no because they don’t want to hurt others or maybe they are trying to please them. However, the need of saying no could be vital when other people’s demands conflict with your time, energy, and needs. You don’t deserve to be suffering for something that is not worth it.
I was so excited and getting ready to leave to meet up with my long-lost best friend when my sister asked me to keep her company to buy groceries, which we do it twice a month. I was stunned and unconsciously I nodded my head. Instead, I called my best friend to cancel the plan. I went to the shop with my sister half heartedly. I knew, I was hurting my best friend and myself as well because I was afraid to say no to my sister. While we were at the shop, I kept asking myself “Why do I choose to say yes when I really need to say no”?
I completely believe that you don’t want to be in the same unease situation like that. So dare yourself to say no if you face with an unnecessary request. Here are few tips which I have been practicing for years and it is proven. I’ve changed myself forever, say no is no more a big deal for me and I enjoy myself enthusiastically.
Tips To Say NO:
1. Start with your family and close friends because these categories of people mostly ask for favors. Don’t be afraid, everything starts with ‘the first time’ or you will be Mr or Miss Yes forever and trust me, you will regret it.
2. Learn to put your utmost priority at top but simultaneously give consideration to others too.
3. Don’t say no as a habit because sometimes people really need helps from you and so do you.
4. It’s OK to feel a little bit guilty when you say no, instead, you should consider yourself lucky because you still aware that you are not kind of heartless person.
5. Be firm to say no but in a polite way, so that people will understand you really mean it.
6. Practice makes perfect!
When the time comes, be honest and fair to yourself! Remember, everyone has their own absolute right and privacy. ‘N O’ is just a simple two-letter word, so just say it. Nevertheless, no matter how hard I try to convince you but the choice is still yours, you are the one who will decide for yourself and not others!
